George Jones, 99, Retired Geologist, died Monday, January 22, 2024. Rosary will be at 4:30 pm, Sunday, January 28, 2024; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Monday, January 29, 2024, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Goldena Jones; sister, Marceline; first wife, Elizabeth. Survived by his wife, Cindy Jones; sons, William (Cathy) Jones, David (Beverly) Jones, Steve (Teri) Jones; stepson, Michael J. Galloway; grandchildren, Ashley (Ian), Jesseca (Joe), Reed (Lauren), Tyler, Rebekah; great-grandchildren, Anicia, Kenneth, Kade. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, 1215 N. Stratford Ln., Wichita, KS 67206. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
