Rick, Shaina and Family,
Kristy and I were colleagues @ WCS. She was a fighter indeed! I felt so humbled and honored that as Kristy got to know me, she placed her confidence in me sharing some of her personal prayer requests with me. When a prayer request was answered she would greet me with starry eyes and her capacious smile in letting me know God had answered another prayer!
May her life’s legacy begin the healing process of your pain and bring you hope, comfort and peace. Trust in the Lord and allow Him to be your footprints in the sand during this season in your lives.
May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Kristy and I worked together at Collegiate and almost every day I would stop by the Help Desk after taking my second graders to lunch and we would chat for a few minutes about our family or our most recent cruise. Those moments created a bond where we shared a smile or a laugh and learned a bit more about what was important in our lives. I will miss you my friend. ❤️ Shirley Meissner
Rick and Shaina, You guys are in my thoughts and prayers!! Kristy was a fighter and I admired that in her but she was also a blessing to have as a friend! Even when she was fighting her own battle she made sure to check on me and see how my daughter was doing. If she had any advice or found out something she thought my daughter could benefit from she would let me know. I am blessed to be able to say Kristy was my friend! If you only have one friend and they are like Kristy you are rich! I am going to miss her hugs and talking to her! She gained her wings and will continue to watch over all of us! She was so proud of her family! My heart breaks for you guys!

Kristy and I crossed paths multiple times in my life. When I was a kid, I remember her so well working in the computer lab at Collegiate. She made an impression on me back then because one thing I knew about her—she wasn’t going to tolerate kids picking on me. Years later, I worked with her at Costco, both on the front end and later in optical (one time in optical, she literally scoured every Costco’s inventory to find my favorite frame that I’d broken). She was always looking out for me. And Kristy would always tell it like it was, something I greatly admired. She was such a strong personality, with a great sense of humor, and was a great friend to all she cared for. All my love to her family that is dealing with this great loss.
