Brady Dwayne Allensworth passed away on February17th, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born to Mary (Kelley) and Garrill Allensworth on September 17, 1964, in Quincy, Illinois. Brady was a graduate of Barry High School, Class of ‘82. He attended Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell, New Mexico graduating with an Associate of Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. Brady started his career working for Great Southwest Aviation in Roswell. He continued his aviation career working for Air Midwest and Kitty Hawk Air Cargo. In 2006, he embraced his love of motorcycling by moving to Cambodia, working as a mechanic and tour guide for Adventure Moto. Returning to the United States in 2009, Brady obtained employment with Eagle Med (air medical transportation services) working as an Aviation Maintenance Controller. He also worked part-time as an aircraft mechanic for STS Aviation Group maintaining the Boeing Large Cargo Freighter for Atlas Aerospace. As a child, “B” enjoyed life on the farm riding his go-cart, driving his motorcycles, and hunting alongside his family. One of his greatest pleasures was going to the St. Louis Airport to watch the planes take off and land. Brady continued his love of flight all throughout his life. B embraced his hobbies with unmitigated passion. He built and flew model remote-controlled airplanes. He also rode motorcycles with a group of friends traveling the United States and even to Alaska including the Arctic Circle. In the last few years, Brady and his sisters, Cheryl and Tracy, and their husbands, Ken and Donald, took summer family bike trips in Missouri and Illinois. Brady liked to regale his friends, family, and coworkers with stories of all his escapades and adventures. He will be sorely missed by many. Brady was preceded in death by his parents, Garrill and Mary Allensworth, and his infant brother, Bradley. He is survived by his siblings, Cheryl (Ken) Patterson, Tracy (Donald) DuRall, Kelly (Mike) Lundberg, Kevin (Angela) Allensworth, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great nephews and Smokey the Cat. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm; Funeral Service will be at 5:00 pm, both Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary, Wichita, Kansas. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm; Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm, both Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Niebur Funeral Home, Barry, Illinois.

  2. For Brady’. s family, I’m so very sorry this news about Brady. Such a real shock. He was a mighty fine mechanic.
    I learned alot from him and a dear friend who will be missed and thought about often. I won’t make the funeral. RIP friend.
