Bruce Mankins

July 27, 1960 ~ February 15, 2024
Bruce died in the privacy of his home with his wife, Jeanette, and canine companion, George, by his side. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Mankins; and is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jeanette; son, Josh Burnah; granddaughter, Allie-Mae Burnah; friend, George; mother, Ruth Mankins; brothers, Steve (Stephanie) Mankins, Doug (Jenny) Mankins, Keith (Trudy) Mankins; along with many nieces and nephews.Having spent summers with his grandfather and great-uncles, he inherited a great love of working with his hands. Bruce was known to have vast knowledge in several trades and was admired as a mentor and great teacher to everyone he encountered. Through the last decade of Bruce’s life he gained great respect through the relationships and friendships during his time with Green Vision/Eyecare Partners as a Regional Facilities Manager. He took great pride in the contributions he made everywhere he went, with everyone he touched throughout his life.Bruce was old school. He was kind, gentle, and caring. He worked hard to the end to be sure his wife and family were always taken care of.He was a very quiet and humble man, he has asked to forgo a big “Whoop-Dee-Do” and instead, please honor his memory by consistently doing kind gestures for the less fortunate. That would be his way…Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
Heaven got a good one last night đź’”
The best way to describe Bruce, just a good dude~
Salt of the earth, down to earth good dude.
As a coworker, the answer to any request “let me see how we can make that work”, and he did.
I loved listening to him talk about his sweet wife and grand daughter ~ his face would just light up❤️
We are all sad and will be missing our dear friend but rest assured, heaven is in good hands~
