Brenda Edgington, 74, loving mother and pampered princess, died Sunday, March 17, 2024. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, March 22, 2024, at East Heights United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Reed Ellis Edgington; parents, Max and Phyllis Burgoyne. Survived by her son, Cooper (Paige) Edgington of Springfield, NE; daughter, Lauren Edgington of Austin, TX. A memorial has been established with: Wichita Children’s Home, 7271 E. 37th St. N., Wichita, KS 67226; Wichita Alumnae Panhellenic c/o June Brockmeyer, 38 E. St. Cloud Pl., Wichita, KS 67230. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

I met Brenda when I was 18 in our sorority. We would run into each other throughout the years since then. When I retired and moved back to town, we reacquainted. She always served as a role model for me and will forever be one to guide me forward. Her friendship will be missed.
