Guestbook

  1. Marlane was like a second Mother to me for many, many years. She and Jack always treated me better than maybe I even deserved. A woman of class and dignity, she would shoot straight with everyone. I will miss our lively conversations, her awesome recipes, and our 45 year loving friendship. RIP Marlane, I loved you and will greatly miss you! Laura

  2. I have the most pleasant memories of Marlane & Jack from all the days of travel with NSM when Jack served the board. What an upbeat bright light Marlane was and so very loving. Thinking of you, Tom and family, as you mourn her death while giving thanks for her great life. May she rest in God’s eternal care. T

  3. Marlane, was my sister-in-law, who was always so gracious and interesting to be around and talk to.
On her visits to her home State of Indiana, she always had a great time, having fun and loved to dance when given the opportunity. However she never let me forget, that the Kansas basketball team could always beat the Indiana University team(IU.
On thing for certain, she was always so proud of all her family and their accomplishments.
I extend my condolences to all of Marlane’s family.

  4. Tom, I am saddened to see this notice. My condolences to you and your family. I will be thinking about you and hope you all have a healing experience this week. I miss seeing you!

  5. Sending my sympathies to you, Jennifer and the whole Morris family. I fondly remember your mom and dad at all the NSM meetings. She always had a beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eye. May she Rest In Peace.

  6. Morris family, sending my sincere condolences as I learn of this very sad news. I am holding you and your entire family close in thought and in my prayers as you gather together with family, friends and the Lord to take Marlane home. May she rest in peace and live in your hearts forever.

  7. Sending kindness with condolences! Thinking of you ALL! I loved Marlane and her gentle spirit will live forever. How very blessed I have been to have taken care of her hair and developing a special friendship for many years! We’ve had so many giggles that I get to recall I heard about family repeatedly! She loved you ALL so much! She is resting in eternal peace with her beloved Jack!

  8. I am saddened to learn of Marlane’s passing. She was a wonderful neighbor. Our HOA owes a huge debt of gratitude to her. For nearly 40 years, she served as our informal and volunteer HOA “administrator.” and treasurer. She wouldn’t even take reimbursement for stamps! She was efficient, cheerful, and dedicated to the interests of her neighbors. She was a champion for
maintaining and reinvesting in our common areas. Our wonderful green spaces are indeed Marlane’s legacy.

  9. To my childhood friend Sandy, and all the Morris Family, I’m so very sorry for your loss. To me Mrs. Morris was someone who always shared a radiant smile and was so generous with her kind words. She was beautiful and poised, intelligent and outgoing. And her hair was always perfect. Whether playing golf at Crestview, sleepovers at the Morris house in College Hill, or many years later after my wedding reception when she and Mr. Morris chauffeured my husband and me to our hotel…I always felt happy and safe in the presence of Marlene. What a fabulous lady!
