Darrell J. Ubert, 86, retired 42 year TWA Airline Agent, died Thursday, April 25, 2024. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Sunday, May 5, 2024, Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Monday, May 6, 2024, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Darrell was a life-long parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi, and long-time usher. He was an avid bowler that bowled in countless leagues including his all lefty team and participated in the National Bowling Tournament for over 25 years, a life-long baseball fan, and loved betting on dog races.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Emma Ubert; brother, Jerry Ubert. Survived by his wife, Arlene K. Ubert; sons, Joe (MaryAnn) Ubert, James Ubert, John (Linda) Ubert; grandchildren, Conner, Lakin, Taylor, Landon, Madison, Trevor, Jack, Olivia, John Paul, Eden; great-grandchildren, Alex, Sophia, Isabelle, Leo; and sister, Carol. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Alzheimer's Association, Central & Western Kansas, 535 West Douglas, Suite 150, Wichita, KS 67213. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
