Bettina "Tina" Clarice Clupny, 93, retired registered nurse, died Monday, May 13, 2024. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, with Funeral Service at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Graveside service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2024, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Tina lived on a farm near Furley, Kansas from 1931 to 1949 and moved to Wichita in 1949. She went to Valley Center High School and Wesley Hospital School of Nursing. Tina worked at St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 1991 after 28 years of service. She enjoyed all things musical and loved to read.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Robert and Rhoby Mary (Rush) Carnahan; husband, Edward Joseph Clupny; son, John "Brad" Bradley Lawrence; infant twins, Crystal and Christopher Lawrence; sister, Dorothy (Norman) Taylor. Survived by her daughters, Lori (James Davis) Lawrence of Wichita, KS, Julie (Mark) Riley of Sarasota, FL; son, Mark O. (Tish) Lawrence of Wichita, KS; step-son, Ronald L. Clupny of Rogers, AR; step-daughters, Thomasine (Monte) Strealy of Dallas, TX, Cathy (Steve) Prowse of Wichita, KS; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Memorials have been established with: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, American Lung Association, 8400 West 110th Street, Suite 130, Overland Park, KS 66210 and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 N. 119th Street West, Wichita, KS 67235. I remember her kindness. Every time we visited for a holiday or other occasion, she always had patience and snacks for us kids. Even though my own kids are now grown, I will never forget the way she treated us. Great lady!
