Bettie Joan Stancher

Bettie Joan Stancher, 86, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, retired after 36 years as a main frame attendant from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, with Funeral Service 2:00 pm, both on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Bettie was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed bowling and slot machine tournaments. Bettie also enjoyed watching football, mainly the Steelers, and later in life watching golf. Bettie was a cancer survivor. Preceded in death by her parents, William Reed and Twila Allene Hastings; husband, Wesley David Stancher; son, Darren Ollek; brothers, Marvin Hastings, Billy Bob Hastings, Jimmie Hastings; sister, Nema (Keith) Palmer. Survived by her daughters, Nancy (Michael) Schmidt, Cheryl (Joe) Parkins all of Wichita; son, Steve (Pat) Ollek of The Colony, TX; sister, Arla Sharp of Oklahoma City; sixteen grandchildren; multitude of great grandchildren.
