I grew up next door to the smiths, Pat was a wonderful mother, i remember when she would have some cookies baking and I would try and walk in the kitchen just as soon as they come out. Sometimes i got one if they were not to hot. wonderful memories. I’m sure she will be missed. Prayers to the family.
Pat 💜 So many words come to mind…graceful, wise, charming, beautiful , bright , lovely. Two of her granddaughters , Erica and Sara ,and our oldest daughter were in Girl Scouts together. Every week we needed to come up with an affordable craft for all 23 girls in our troop. With very limited funds , I would go to the local goodwill stores and find a bag with misc craft items. One evening Pat was over our house and I was desperately trying to look at this bag of goodies and figure out what the girls could make with this hodge pudge of craft items. Pat saw me and I explained. In less than 1 minute , she was showing me ALL sorts of ideas. Sooo every week for years she gladly helped figure out what the craft would be for the week. That was 20 plus years ago and I will always be so grateful for her kindness and generosity. She was always pleasant and my heart will forever smile every time I think of sweet Pat. I thank God for sharing her with us for so long. What a jewel & I will miss her delightful presence at our family gatherings and our wonderful conversations.
