Diana Day, 76, retired Nurse, passed away Friday, June 14th, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas. Although she may be gone from our sight, Diana's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the cherished daughter of William and LaVahne Hines of Westminster, Colorado. Diana will be deeply missed by her son, Patrick Day of Bethany, Oklahoma; and daughter, Amy (Jason) Bedard of Wichita, Kansas. Her legacy of love lives on in her grandchildren, Shelby (Jose) Crosa of Loveland, Colorado, Brittany (Jamie) Collins of Wichita, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Silas, Adriano, Leonora. Diana is survived by brother, David Hines; sisters, Roberta (Marty) Thorpe and Janice (Bruce) Arke; and blessed with many other extended family and friends. Diana's absence will be felt but her strong-willed spirit will live on through the memories shared and the profound impact she made on everyone she met. We celebrate Diana for all the love, creativity, wisdom, sassiness, and generosity she gave and for the standard she set of a life well lived. Visitation with family to celebrate her life will be 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday, June, 22, 2024, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.

  1. Diana was our neighbor for many years. She was a fun member of our cul de sac and she was incredibly sweet to my two girls growing up! I’m so grateful to have visited with her a couple of weeks ago. We are so sorry to learn of her passing and sending lots of love to her family and loved ones.

  2. Diana and I were neighbors as well as very close friends. We were known at Oxford Villa as the Dynamic Duo named by Tiffany. She was a very dear friend. I will truly miss her.

  3. Diana was our neighbor for 15 years. She was like another grandmother to my son and daughter and always had special treats for them for Halloween and Christmas. My daughter and I visited her once when she moved into independent living and wish we had gone to see her more. She was always so sweet, kind and caring. She will be greatly missed!
