Rob was born October 8, 1967 in Troy, OH. He grew up in Arcanum, OH where he played baseball and basketball in high school. After graduation, he joined the Army where he served proudly for 15 years. During his service he was stationed in Germany twice, Korea and at Ft. Riley. While he was stationed at Ft. Riley he met and married his wife, Shawn, on August 4, 1990. They just celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary. He had deployments to Iraq during Desert Storm and Croatia. After being honorably discharged from the Army he was a letter carrier for the City of Wichita for 15 years.
If you knew Rob you loved him, everyone did. He didn’t know a stranger and would talk to anyone. He was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Football (Go Buckeyes!). He loved his children fiercely; and his family and his friends, especially his bestest friends, Sam and Doyce. Rob loved babies and animals - he would want to hold any baby he saw and bring home any animal he could. He loved camping and being outdoors, spending time with those who loved him.
He will truly be missed by so many whose lives he touched.
