Clara Mae Welch

Clara Mae Welch, 82, of Wichita, passed away Monday, November 18th, 2024. She was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Topeka, to Charles and Elizabeth (Desch) Patzell. She was married to William A. Welch. She graduated from Hayden Catholic High School in 1960 and attended Marymount College. She also had a 32-year career at Southwestern Bell. She was devoted member of St. Catherines of Sienna. Clara will be remembered as an amazing mother, devoted wife, caring sister and loving grandmother. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Bill; daughters, Tracy Valcoure (Greg) and Lisa Becker (Jason); six grandchildren; 4 great grandchild; and sister Donna Wright, and brother in-law Ron Welch. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters; Eunice Shell, Laura Worl, Alice Shortt; and brother in-law Bob Welch. A Christian Burial and Inurnment took place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita Kansas. The celebrant was Father Andrew Labenz.
