  7. Hello. I wanted to share how quickly Veronica settled in and became a part of the Bryant family. She had a way of being firm but gentle, “tell it like it was,” but comforting. We quickly found out we had much in common, and had many talks on personal values, which were her focus: her faith in God, and her family. She was a wonderful lady which was reflected in everything she did.

  8. I have known Veronica since she started school nursing at Wichita Public Schools. She was so nice, caring and knew what was important in life. She talked often of family and of her daughter, both of which brought her much joy. I will miss Veronica very much. Prayers to all of her family…may she watch over us all from heaven above. 9. Oh Veronica, I have started and stopped this memorial a few times, each memory leading to tears and then another fond memory.

I hope you are amongst the horses, pooches, and kitties you loved so dearly. Mending, fixing and loving them all.

My first pets were gifts (don’t know that my mom felt they were gifts *wink-wink) from you! Who could ever forget the infamous gerbil duo of Zip and Zap courtesy of my aunt Ronnie? Give Pepper a hugs for me!

People laugh at me for my “fear” of the movie E.T., as I tell the story it begins with “my aunt Veronica gifted me an E.T. doll when I was 4…” I sure wish I still had that doll now❤️

Acting as the older sister I never had – swiping the very center of “My pie” grandma had made just for me! Haha. And as kids playing Monopoly with me until neither of us could take it anymore turning the game board into a make believe town, rather than finishing the game.

    Rest easy now Ronnie Lee.

All my love your niece Andrena

  13. It was a privilege to know Veronica for the short time I had the honor while working with her. Her wit and humor were endearing but it was her endless kindness that was staggering. The world lost a bright light. So sorry for your loss.

  14. Ronny,

Nurse to Nurse, I Salute you for the sacrifice and love you gave to the mission and ministry of Nursing. As family (by marriage of Rita & Wilson Jones) I remember how beautiful and sweet you were/are. I’m sending you the Love and Light of Jesus Christ as you pass through the Pearly Gates into the loving arms of your Mother; and as you hear God say ”Well done, my good and faithful servant!”

    Rest in Peace,

    Peggy Jones-Foxx

  15. This is so incredibly sad to hear. Veronica was the nurse at White early on when I was the principal there. She was so very kind and caring. Heaven has gained such a beautiful soul. My heart goes out to her family and the staff and students at Woodland Elementary.

  16. Miss Veronica was always my son, Conway’s favorite person. I swear he would fake a cough or tummy ache just to be able to hang out with her. She has given him many a candy, treats and even a stuffed monkey. She was always so kind and patient with my son even though he’s a different type of special child. She had a way with him that no one else had. He loved spending every day he could with her and was very very upset when she left Woodland. He cried for days on end. I don’t even know how he’s going to take the news knowing she’s no longer here with us. But I know he will be so grateful that he got to spend so many wonderful years with her. She was truly an amazing soul.
