Robert C. Goodwin

Robert C. Goodwin, 87, was born March 4, 1937, in Fairfield, Alabama to William Clyde and Edna (Hamic) Goodwin. He passed away on February 13, 2025. Bob joined the Navy in 1956, serving as an Air Medic. After his service in the Navy, he was always involved with numbers and finance. He worked in several financial institutions. Most recently he worked for Mel Hambleton Ford as a financial and insurance officer, and lastly at Intrust. Bob loved to fly airplanes and play golf at every opportunity he could. On October 10, 2000, he even got a hole in one. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, married October 21st, 1972; children, Robert V., Phyllis and David Goodwin; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his sister, Mary (Zane) Nolen; sisters-in-law, Lorene (Bob) Steimel, Dorothy (Charlie) Oborny; and brother-in-law, Fr. Henry Baxa. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends. Rosary will be 10:00 am, Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am, both on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help 307 E. 5th St., Concordia, KS. Graveside will follow after lunch at St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery, 603 Linden St., Cuba, KS. A memorial has been established with: St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery, c/o St. Edward Catholic Church, 1827 Q Street, Belleville, KS 66935. Services in care of Downing & Lahey West Mortuary
