Carol (Friedman) Moore

Carol (Friedman) Moore died on Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 67. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 10, 2025, at Congregation Emanu-El Cemetery (within Highland Cemetery). Carol was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 11, 1958, the eldest child of Sterling “Bob” and Charlotte Friedman. Carol attended Southeast High School in Wichita then graduated from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) and Bowdoin College (Maine) with undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Psychology. After college, Carol married David Moore and had a son, Joshua Moore. Carol enjoyed hiking, traveling, reading and talking to people. Carol was known for her wit, transparency and kindness. Carol is survived by her brothers, David and Rich. She will be missed by her nephew, Ben; her nieces, Lauren, Allie, Arielle and Lindsey; and first cousins, Debbie, Karen and Keith. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Joshua; her parents, Bob and Charlotte; and her brother, Tom. The family wishes to thank Debi Lawson, as well as Tiffany and the staff at Sandpiper Healthcare for their caring and kindness to Carol over the past several years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mid-Kansas Jewish Federation or Congregation Emanu-El, both located at 1850 N. Woodlawn, Wichita, KS 67208.
