Keith Allen French, 90, Retired Landscape Architect, died Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Memorial Service will be at 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Raised in Southern California, Keith's early life was shaped by the sun-kissed beaches and rugged mountains that he would always hold dear. After graduating from Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley, California, Keith answered the call of duty and enlisted in the army. His time in the military was marked by a commitment to excellence and to his fellow soldiers, as he taught survival training while stationed in Panama. Upon returning to civilian life, Keith's thirst for knowledge led him to further his education and graduate from college. Keith's landscape architectural work took him far from his Southern California roots, most notably to Japan and South Africa. He was immensely proud of his work, and his offices in California and Washington, DC, stood as beacons of his professional legacy. Keith's interests were as diverse as his talents. He never lost his love for the California coast, where he could often be found deep sea fishing, embracing the tranquility of the ocean. The snow-capped mountains of California were his winter refuge, where he enjoyed the thrill of skiing down challenging slopes. His adventures also took him to South Africa, where sight-seeing and animal watching allowed him to indulge in his appreciation for the natural world's wonders. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Viola French; daughter, Karilynn Bogner. Survived by his wife, Linda French; sons, Mark French, Todd French. A memorial has been established with: Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 1600 W. 27th St. N., Wichita, KS 67204. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
