Merle Lewis, 83, Retired Beechcraft Machinist, died Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Friday, June 13, 2025; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 14, 2025, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Fern Lewis; daughter, Stephanie Lewis; brothers, Paul and Rex Lewis; daughter-in-law, Angela Lewis.
Survived by his wife, Patricia Lewis of Rose Hill; sons, Thomas (Laurie) Lewis of Wichita, James Lewis of Derby, Andrew Lewis of Brooklyn, NY; daughter, Brianna (Tim) Becker of Wichita; grandchildren, Tate Becker, Gracie Becker, Evelyn Lewis, Lena Lewis, Cade Becker, Alexander Lewis, Lauren Lewis.
Memorials have been established with: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105; The Lord's Diner, 520 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67214.

Rest in peace Unlce Merle.You are going to be missed by all. I will cherrish my childhood summer memories spent in Kansas when you and Aunt Patty came to visit at grandmas. Us kids always playing and the adults shared a pot of coffee and good conversation. I can hear your voice still, the usual “Roy, Arlene how you doing” or the occasional “JIMMM” shouted down to the basement. We love you and will miss you. Lots of love to my dear Aunt Patty and my cousins.
