I’m saddened to hear of Judi’s passing. We worked many year ago and she was a lovely person. We only kept in touch on Facebook but we enjoyed many of the same posts together. May God Bless her family.
Judith Ann Atkins, 68, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
Judi was born on April 2, 1957, in Winchester, Virginia to Edward and Rosa Lee Jenkins. She later moved to Wichita, Kansas where she met her husband of 44 years, Dale, and they raised their two daughters, Jessica and Jamie. Judi will be remembered as a loving, devoted and selfless wife and mother. Through her life she enjoyed camping, gardening, doting on her grandchildren, and watching NASCAR races and Kansas basketball games.
Survived by her Husband, Dale Atkins of Wichita, KS; Two Daughters, Jessica Marie (Tyler) Sedam of Rose Hill, KS, Jamie Lea (Alan) Smith of Thornton, CO; Five grandchildren, Raleigh (Mikey) Sedam, Khloe Sedam, Doreyien Sedam, Hudson Smith, and Lucas Smith. Preceded in death by her Father, Edward Harrison Jenkins; Mother, Rosa Lee Jenkins; Two Brothers, Edward Jenkins, Jr., and Floyd Jenkins.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary – East Chapel. The service will be followed by a burial ceremony located at White Chapel Memorial Gardens on North Oliver Street.
