Carol Lou Williams, 89, passed peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Private services will be scheduled for a later date.

Carol was born on April 7, 1936, in Wichita, Kansas, minutes after her twin sister, Connie Sue, joining brother, Kendal, and parents, Eleanor and Lee King.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Williams; sister Connie Mayer; and brother, Kendal.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Teresa Stewart (Steve), Lucinda Prosterman (Steve), Elizabeth Martin (Steve), and Jennifer Barbour (Greg): 10 beloved grandchildren; Tyler Stewart (Savy), Matt Stewart, Adian and Emmett Brewer, Cale Martin (Isabel), Bailey Maxwell (Colten), Ethan and Blaine Martin, Taylor Zirkle (Bo, great-grandchildren Kyler, Grayson, Barrett), Cory Barbour (Deana, great grand-child, Jennifer); along with several nieces and nephews.

Carol dedicated her life to caring for and serving her loving family, friends, and community. She was proud of her work as a Kindergarten and substitute teacher for USD 259 and served many years as a Girl Scout leader. During their 54-year marriage, Carol and Albert were a united front, supporting their church family at the First United Methodist Church; they taught Sunday School classes, provided transportation for adults with special needs, and served on the social committee of their Double Ring class, where she is famous for her creative party themes and activities. Her talent for bringing people together extended to her years of work on the reunion committee for the East High Class of 1954.
