Billie “Ann” Waggoner, 79, Retired Northwest High School Language Arts Teacher, died Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Pathway Church – Westlink Campus.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Galen and Corinne Barker; and brother, David Barker. She is survived by her husband, Larry Waggoner; son, Mark (Andrea Dir) Waggoner; daughter, Robin (Jeff) Sites; grandchildren, Connor Sites, Mitch Waggoner, Trevor (Sydney) Sites, Grant (fiancée, Kiley Schneweis) Waggoner, Kyndall Sites, Reed Waggoner; and brother, Robert “Bob” Barker.
Ann was dedicated to her faith, family, friends and students. She was a faithful member of Pathway church where at various times she was a MAPS mentor, led youth group activities, helped count weekly giving and prepared meals for various functions. She taught High School French and Spanish for 23 years and led many extra-curricular activities and international trips with her students. She had many life long friends that she enjoyed playing bridge, hosting parties and sharing meals with. She dearly loved her six grandchildren who remember her for the many activities and ‘half birthday’ celebrations that she and Larry hosted for them.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care and support provided to Ann by the nurses and staff at Phoenix Home Care and Reflection Ridge Retirement Community. They have truly been a blessing to the entire family.
