Amelia “Tillie” Roman Ornelas, 95, Retired Office Manager for the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation, peacefully passed to her permanent home on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Rosary will be at 6:00 pm, Friday, September 5, 2025; Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 6, 2025, both at Holy Savior Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jose Angel and Andrea Roman; brother, Joe A. Roman, Jr.

Survived by her daughters, Cynthia Avelar, Caroline (Chet) Kelley; sons, David (Velia) Ornelas, Jr., Nello Ornelas; sisters, Celia “Sally” Roman, Dolores “Lola” (John) Torrez; brother, William “Bill” (Blanche) Roman; thirteen grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jhasmal), Jaime, Valerie (Domingo), Angelina, Jesus (Megan), Nelo, Junell, Leanna (Vincent), Joseph, Roman (Taylor), Olivia, Andrea, Armandena; ten great-grandchildren, Isabel, Ava, Roman, Emil, Xavier, Vianney, Aiden, Jaden, Mila, Bronx; one great-great grandchild, Zane; and beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established with Holy Savior Catholic Church, 3000 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67214.

Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary – East Chapel.
