Martha Donohue

– Martha Donohue, 81, retired elementary school teacher, died Saturday, September 6, 2025. Martha was a teacher for over 40 years spending the majority of her time in the Maize School District. She had a second career at the Valley Center Public Library and worked there until her passing. Martha was very involved in her church and her faith. Her favorite career was being a grandma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Loretta Strode; and husband, James Donohue. Martha is survived by her son, Kevin (Nicole) Donohue; daughter, Marcia (Tim) Seltmann; grandchildren, Kaylee, Bailey (Kobe), Nolan, Caleb, Nathan, Evan, Khloe, Nick; and sister, Norma (John) Cregan. Rosary will be at 6:00 pm, Thursday, September 11, 2025, Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Friday, September 12, 2025, both at St. Jude Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with: Friends of the Valley Center Library, c/o Valley Center Public Library, 314 E.
