Judy Lynn (Bedigrew) Smith, 78, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Judy was born the daughter of Fred Harvey and Melba Louise (Dyer) Bedigrew on May 27, 1947, in Emporia, KS. She graduated from Southeast High School and went on to Wichita State University, majoring in Art. After college, Judy went to work for the Boeing Company for 23 years in the Tooling Department and the IE-Master Scheduling. She owned five businesses (The Painted Turtle, Earthborn Plants and Creations, Trash Makes Cash, The Copper Penny, and The Daisy Patch). She was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT for her community.

Judy enjoyed reading books, designing jewelry, crafting and taking art classes. The most important thing in her life was her family, children, and grandchildren. She was a compassionate, giving person that cared deeply for anyone or anything she came in contact with. She was always the first person to speak up, stand up, and always give back.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Nichols Smith; father, Fred Harvey Bedigrew; mother and stepfather, Melba and Leslie Doty; niece, Melissa Andersen; and her grandparents.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Elizabeth) Smith; daughters, Kimberly (Joel) Fulghum, Alicia (Jason) Birkes, Denise (John) Downing, CC Cordova; grandchildren, Zachary Birkes, Nicholas Fulghum, Sydney Birkes, Abigail Fulghum, Addison Smith, Gunnar Smith, Emma Smith, Fisher Downing, Cody Cordova; sister, Mary (Greg) Elenburg; brother, Gary (Theresa) Bedigrew; sister, Sondra (Steve) Andersen; brother-in-law, Max (Debra) Smith; 6 nieces; 3 nephews.
