We gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Jesse Macharia Njagi, a radiant and impactful young soul who entered eternity on September 30, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of friends and family. Born on January 17, 2007, in Wichita, Kansas, Jesse lived with a contagious energy and purpose far beyond his years. He was driven, daring, compassionate, and deeply devoted to his love for Jesus Christ.
A proud student of Trinity High School, Jesse embodied both passion and purpose. His creativity shone through his love for videography, photography, and entrepreneurship—ventures that reflected his innovative spirit and growing leadership. Jesse was a dreamer who didn’t just imagine a brighter world; he actively inspired others to see it too.
Faith was his compass. Whether growing in the communities of Central Christian and NewSpring Church or engaging in heartfelt conversations about life and purpose, Jesse lived out his belief that “to live is Christ.” His relationship with God fueled his generosity, courage, and joy.
An athlete and adventurer at heart, Jesse’s life was a colorful journey. From football fields to ski slopes, basketball courts to golf greens, he embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and excellence. His laughter filled rooms; his encouragement lifted others; his curiosity made him a lifelong learner.
He is lovingly remembered by his loving parents, Patrick Mwangi and Jane Njagi; his siblings, Joel and Justin Njagi; his revered grandparents, Francis and Julia Mwangi; his caring aunties, Glady, Muthoni, Esther, Jane, Joan, and Eva; his uncles, Joseph, David, Mwangi, Daniel, Mathenge, Mwaura, and Kuria. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, including Aiden, Hanna, Annie, Shawn, Ian, Hope, Olivia, Joan, along with others in Kenya; and his first cousin once removed “nephew” Jabali. Jesse was preceded in glory by his beloved Grandma Hanna Waitherero.
Jesse’s story reminds us, as Jim Elliot once wrote, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” His legacy is one of faith, joy, creativity, and love that continues to ripple through every life he touched.

Forever in our hearts.
Though I met Jesse only a few months ago in Houston, his gentle spirit, warm smile, and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him. Gone far too soon, yet his light will continue to shine in the hearts of those he touched.
Forever remembered with love and respect.
Sending prayers for the Njagi family! Someday we will understand, but know that he is in heaven and loving you from Gods arms. He was a really sweet young man always kind and helpful.
Praying for your family during this deep loss. No words can adequately comfort, but I know the Holy Spirit can and will… now and in the future, through the pain and missing. We have a peace the world does not offer as we know Jesse loved Jesus and because of that relationship with His Savior, he is safe and sound in the presence of the Lord in Heaven. Jesse was always such a sweet kid! As a student, he was a respectful, easy-going, kind and joyful young man! He spread his joy to others with his warm, happy smile. May God’s love and peace hold you in the assurance of God’s grace and eternal reward for Jesse.
