Richard Carlisle, 83, retired Director of Minerals at Farm Credit Bank, died Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Memorial Service will be at 10:30am, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Services will be live streamed and available to view by clicking on the link below.
In addition to his work career with Farm Credit Bank, he was involved with a number of organizations related to work and other interests. Some of these included Wichita Area Petroleum Landmen, American Gas Association Mid-Continent Sub Committee, serving on the Heartland Credit Union Board of Directors, pursing his passion for cars, especially Classic Thunderbirds, and travel.
Richard is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Wallace O’Brien; and mother, Jane Margaret Carlisle. He is survived by his wife, Susan Carlisle; daughters, Kathleen Haynes of Maize, KS, Robin (Tim Myers) Bowhay of Derby, KS; son, Richard D. Carlisle of Wichita, KS; mother of his children, Wynona Carlisle; step-sisters, Vicki (Glenn) Mertes, Heidi (Ron) Gifford, Lynda (Paul) Perkins; step-brother, Gary (Donna) Ericson; grandchildren, Everett Haynes, Keeley (Justin) Ridpath, Kasey (fiancé, Nathin Henschel) Bowhay, and Kara (fiancé, Noah Glickman) Bowhay; great grandchildren, Jensen and Adeline Ridpath.
