Kenneth Alvin Yost

Kenneth Alvin Yost, born January 22, 1947, in Sterling, Kansas, and a longtime resident of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on November 20, 2025.

Celebration of life services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Believer’s Southern Baptist Church, 13909 W.21st N., Wichita, KS 67235.

Kenneth dedicated 34 years of his career to Cox Machine Inc. and also spent over 20 years delivering the Wichita Eagle Beacon in Park City, becoming a well-known figure in his community.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Janet Trisler Yost, and is fondly remembered by his former spouse, Janice Rayborn Stoner. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Yost Roper of Atlanta, Georgia; and his son, Kenneth Jason Yost, and his wife, Cheryl, of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Kenneth leaves behind grandchildren, Brandon Yost and wife Leah of Grand Island, Nebraska; Anthony Roper of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Justin Yost and wife Addie of Lincoln, Nebraska; Marcus Roper of Atlanta, Georgia; Ashley Yost and McKenna Yost, both of Lincoln, Nebraska.

He is also survived by his stepson, Todd Malcolm of Marion, Kansas; step-grandchildren Chase Malcolm (USAF, Germany) and Casey Malcolm of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his stepdaughter, Vanessa Malcolm, and husband Tony Navarro of Wichita, Kansas. Step-grandchildren Brandon Rudacille of York, Pennsylvania, Brant Rudacille and wife, Bailey of Derby, Kansas, and stepson Zach Malcolm and wife, Jennifer, along with their children Asher and Molly Malcolm of Manhattan, Kansas, also survive him.

Kenneth leaves behind his sister, Carol Ramsey, and her husband, Ranney of Des Moines, Iowa, and his nephew, Colin Ramsey and his wife, Laura, and their family of Leawood, Kansas; and his niece Stephanie Ramsey and her husband, Corey Rolffs and their family of Iowa City, Iowa.

Preceded in death by his parents, Edna Nada Shotts Yost and Alvin Franklin Yost.
