Scott “Scotty” Frederick Brandt passed away on November 27, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas. Scott was born on September 4, 1965, in Farmington, Michigan.

Valuing loyalty and service, Scott proudly served in the Army, sparking a lifelong passion for aviation. Scott had a hard-working nature, and was known to rarely turn down the opportunity for overtime, an asset in the aviation industry. His humorous spirit, and keen observance of those around him, kept everyone laughing… and on their toes. Scott enjoyed fishing and watching football, especially cheering for the University of Michigan, while snacking on pistachios. He secretly loved cats and not-so-secretly loved movies and the band Rush.

Scott will be loved and remembered for all he was and all he “wanted to be”. He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him deeply. He is survived by his three daughters, Stephanie (Audrey) Brandt, Jennifer (Shane) VanRoyen, and Angela Brandt. He will forever be loved and remembered by his parents, Sonja and Ronald Brandt. His siblings, Holly (Bernie) Rehberg and Marc (Mary-Grace) Brandt will fondly remember their brother’s bright spirit, musical abilities and brotherly protection. He is also survived by two grandsons, Daniel VanRoyen and Iverson Brandt; five nieces, Emily, Audrey, Olivia, Ellie, and Lydia; and a nephew, Benjamin.

Scott’s memorial service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, December 5, 2025, at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery, Winfield, KS.
