Shermie Lou Vickers Robinson

Shermie Lou Vickers Robinson, 90, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away December 1, 2025. She was born December 18, 1934.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edward Vickers and Erma Lee Hager Vickers; her brother, David Hager Vickers; and her son, Bradley Vickers Robinson.

She is survived by three daughters, Sheri-lyn Robinson King, Denese Robinson Van Pool, and Leigh Robinson Dopson; and by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Shermie was a very kind and intelligent person who loved children. After being the first in her family to get a college degree, she taught school for many years, was a missionary in Brazil for a few years, and then went back to school in her 40’s to become a school psychologist. She worked in the Wichita Public Schools until she was 70. She had many interests including history and genealogy, and travel. She will be remembered by her family as an example of an independent woman who was happy to make her own way and be helpful to others.
