Steve Edward White

Steve Edward White, 79, of Grove, Oklahoma was born August 11, 1946, in Alva, Oklahoma.  He was the son of Lester Leon White and Helen Walker.

He departed this life on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

He graduated from Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas, in 1964.

He was united in marriage on June 14, 1969 to Nancy Lee Keckler. This union produced 3 children. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2007.

Steve worked various jobs for the City of Wichita and retired as a Maintenance Supervisor.  He was an avid fisherman and loved fishing tournaments and he and Nancy hosted many fishing tournaments over the years.

Steve married Donna Kay Speer on March 16, 2013, in Grove, Oklahoma, where they lived until his passing.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Nikki Meyer.

He is survived by his wife, Donna White; his children, Kyle (Nancy) White, Christine (Jason Alexander) White, and Kirk (Kathy) White; grandchildren, Eden Ford, Peyton White, and Jamie Arnel.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita, KS. Following the graveside service, family and friends will gather at Whiskey Dicks to visit and share memories of Steve.

A Celebration of Life will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 3, 2026, Nichols-Stephens Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
