Margaret Ann Wade

Margaret Ann Wade, 91, devoted mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Wichita, KS.

Margaret was born May 1, 1934, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was the youngest child of the late William and Velma Wist.  The family eventually moved to Wichita where she attended the Planeview schools.   She married Herschel Wade in 1954 and they were blessed with three daughters. Margaret cherished spending time with family and friends, including a special group of gals from Planeview for over 70 years!

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Herschel; brother, Richard Wist; sisters, Alene Pool and Marcie Garton; and son-in-law Terry Finger.

She is survived by her daughters, Jo Ellen Purkey, Pat Finger, and Nancy (Don) Rose; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Services Monday, March 16, at 11:00 am at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary 10515 W. Maple, Wichita, KS. Burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Goddard, KS.
