Linda Loerean Daniels, 72, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on July 30, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Larry Daniels and Marcelete (Sullivan) Daniels Giles.

Linda graduated from Haven High School in Haven, KS, with the class of 1972. Early in life, she married Dan Duncan of Hutchinson, KS, where they began building a life together before later parting ways. She eventually made her home in Wichita, KS, where she built a life filled with meaningful relationships, including her later marriage to Lyn Blevins.

Linda worked as a buyer for a local steel company in Wichita, where she was known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail. Beyond her career, Linda had a deeply giving heart. As a foster parent, she opened her home freely to others, offering care, stability, and love. She maintained lasting relationships with several of her foster children, reflecting the meaningful impact she had on their lives. She found joy in simple and creative pursuits. Linda loved crafting, especially crocheting and making stuffed animals to give to others – each piece made with care and intention. She also had a special love for travel, particularly trips to Galveston, Texas.

Linda cherished time spent with her neighbors, often gathering for what they fondly called their “girls’ gossip hour”—a time filled with laughter, support, and friendship. She also had a special talent for organizing and preserving family photos, ensuring that memories from years past were carefully kept and shared. Linda was a daughter, sister, aunt, foster mother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her brother, Robert Allen Daniels of Wichita, KS; niece, Melissa Daniels of Wichita, KS; stepdaughter, Jessica (Scott) Blevins; stepsons, Lennie Carl Blevins; a foster son Jeff Guerrero who remained by Linda’s side for many years; and many foster children.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence A. Daniels of Florida; her mother, Marcelete, and stepfather, Charles Giles of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Brenda Marschell (Giles) Snyder of Sedgwick, KS; her grandparents, Clarence and Hettie Sullivan of Oklahoma, Frank Daniels of Florida, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Derr of Florida; and her niece, Kristi Daniels of Buhler, Kansas.

Guestbook

  1. Linda I wish we would have gotten together more often in our retirement. I will miss you dearly. I have lots of memories from school and especially the sparkle in your eyes (a little mischievous at times) and that beautiful smile that was always there.
