Amy Sue Evans, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Wayne Venberg; her mother, Nancy Ann Venberg; and a brother Kirk Venburg.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Dale Evans, of Benton, KS; her son, Jacob (Jake) Evans, of El Dorado, KS; her brother Marty Venburg of Manhattan KS, mother in law Carol Olsen, brother in law Daryl Kidd (Roseanna), Brother in law David Olsen ( Trina Olsen), sister in law Sandy Flowers (James Flowers) sister in law Shelly Bahner (Ray Bahner), dear friend, Marci Neu, of Yukon, OK, dear friend, Diane Fox of Wichita KS;  and a much-loved extended family of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and those whose lives she touched.

Those who knew Amy knew she had a gift for making people feel welcome. Whether she was hunting for treasures at the antique mall — small signs, vintage jars, or the Santa Clauses she adored — or filling her home with the warmth of a home-cooked meal and good conversation. Amy poured her whole heart into everything she loved. Her table was always set for one more.

Among her most treasured companions was Zoey, her standard poodle, who is navigating a world that feels a little less bright without her.
