Bessie Hoffman

Bessie Hoffman passed away on Thursday, 21 May 2026 at 11:00 am in Andover, Kansas at The Kansas Medical Center on East 21^st Street North due to heart failure.

Her husband was not immediately present because he was across Wichita to meet her daughter, Cecilee, who had just arrived to the city. They returned to the hospital and observed Bessie’s remains only a few minutes after her passing.

The medical staff described the heart failure and the family knew Bessie had fought to the last and is in the hands of the Lord God. She was loved by many and was a blessing to all who knew her.

This includes her husband, John, for all the years after their marriage in 1962. They made their way side by side because they had to survive in partnership. They were coming up on a new anniversary when she passed. She is also survived by her daughter, Cecilee.

Preceded in death by her parents James and Glenna Keller.

Bess – you are missed and will be loved far into the future. Your daughter and your husband will miss you the rest of their lives.
