Mary Rose Helten

Mary Rose Helten, 86, of Lone Tree, CO, entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2026. Born on November 14, 1939, in Colwich, Kansas, she was the daughter of Herbert and Hortense Winter.

She graduated from Andale High in 1957 and went to work as a secretary. She lived most of her life in Colorado, moving from Kansas in 1972 and working tirelessly alongside her husband managing properties. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating, gathering with friends and family and traveling extensively with her husband, Ron.

Mary Rose valued faith, family, hard work, and service. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who always made time for those she loved. We will remember her smile, generosity, strength, compassion and sense of humor!

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ron Helten; her children Kris Villars (Marc), and Rob Helten (Renee); her brother, Herbert Winter and sister, Rita Sims; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Daniel, Austin, Sarah, and Casey; two great-grandchildren, Roland and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Hortense Winter, and her sister Elaine Reichenberger.

Funeral services in Colorado: June 16, 2026 Rosary at 10:15am, Funeral mass at 11:00am, and reception following at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (8035 S. Quebec St., Centennial, CO 80112)

Funeral services in Kansas: June 20, 2026: Rosary at 10:00am, Funeral at 10:30am, Interment and Reception to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Mary, Aleppo
