Celebrating the life of Milo M Unruh Jr., known by many as Mike, who was born on September 24, 1954, in Wichita, KS, and passed away surrounded by the love of his family on July 4, 2026. Mike exemplified the qualities of being kind, caring, reliable, trustworthy, and hard-working throughout his life.
Mike was a proud alumnus of Kansas State University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. He furthered his education at Washburn University, earning a Juris Doctor with honors. His commitment to excellence carried over into his professional life, where he was a respected partner at Arn, Mullins, Unruh, Kuhn & Wilson, the very place he began his career in 1979.
A resident of Wichita, Mike cherished his roots and community. He took great pleasure in golf, passionately followed Kansas State University football, and cherished time with his family and dogs. Mike will be remembered as a simple, good-natured man who appreciated the little things in life. While he maintained a strong sense of privacy, he could always be counted on to cut loose on a wedding dance floor with his signature move—the twist.
Mike leaves behind his beloved wife, Jacinda, their children, Jonathan & Sam Unruh and Stacey & Malcolm Thomas, and his nephew Billy & Kelly Myatt. He was a devoted grandfather to Dean, Lincoln, and Piper, who will miss him dearly.
