June Beachler, 99, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026. She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where she graduated from South High School in 1944. She married Kenneth Alvin Beachler in 1949, settling in Wichita in 1993, after having lived in Omaha, Bettendorf, Iowa and Wichita prior.

She is preceded in death by her husband in 2010; her son, Richard Beachler in 2017; siblings, Ronald, Helen, Anne, Gunnar, Elsie and Ruth; and parents, Olaf and Sophia Ostlund. She is survived by her son, Scott Beachler of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter, Janet (Roger) Shurtz of Wichita; grandchildren, Aleda (Timm) Richardson, Ian Beachler, Aaron (Rosalyn) Shurtz and Mitchell (Bekah) Shurtz.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the chapel at Presbyterian Manor, 4700 West 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas, 67212, with Reverend Tom Wylie officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with: Children’s Tumor Foundation, P. O. Box 7247 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19170-0001 and Shriners Children’s Hospital, Office of Philanthropy, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 66110.
