Douglas "Mike" Michael Carson

Douglas Michael Carson, known by all as Mike, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 86.

Mike was born on October 6, 1939, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Douglas and Rosalind Carson, He earned both his undergraduate degree and his MBA from Wichita State University. He was a die-hard sports fan, and was especially a fan of WSU basketball, having season tickets for decades.

For 20 years, he owned and operated Sunbeam Products, a wholesale candy and tobacco business, before continuing his career at Mid-Continent Safety, where he worked for many years until his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his son, Scott; his daughter, Megan (Chris) Jordan; and his cherished grandchildren, Lauren and Matthew Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Rosalind, and his son, Christopher.

Mike was a quiet, decent, loving man who will be greatly missed by his family.
