Margaret Cecilia Ansari, of Wichita, Kansas, died August 11, 2026, at the age of 80.

Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m., Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am, Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Anderson and her sister, Theresa McCall.

She is survived by her daughters, Yasmeen Ansari and Michelle Hanna, and her son, Ozzie Ansari.

Margaret graduated from Wichita East High School. After years devoted to homemaking and working in the printing industry, she returned to school and earned her nursing degree from John Tyler Community College in Chester, Virginia. She went on to practice as a Registered Nurse for 20 years, dedicating much of her career to the care and rehabilitation of people with brain injuries.

A devout Catholic, Margaret’s faith was central to her life and guided the way she cared for others. She gave generously of her time to her church and community, attending weekly Eucharistic Adoration, writing cards to those who were ill or homebound, and volunteering in prison ministry.

Above all, Margaret cherished her family. She was especially close to her sisters, Georgia, Mary, Lucy, Anna, and Theresa, and found great joy in time spent with her children and grandchildren. Funny, loyal, and deeply generous, she was always thinking of others and looking for ways to help. She loved to laugh and brought warmth, humor, and kindness to those around her.

She enjoyed playing cards, baking, listening to classical music, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Creative by nature, she loved working with her hands and making things, taking particular pleasure in creating something herself. She remained curious about the world throughout her life and delighted in learning, discovering new things, and sharing her interests with others.

She will be remembered for her deep faith, her devotion to family, her generosity, her creativity, her sense of humor, and the many ways, both large and small, that she cared for others.

A memorial has been established with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
