Robert Wayne Galloway, known to all as Wayne, 53, of Wichita, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2026.
Born May 25, 1973, in Wichita, Wayne spent most of his life in the community he called home. He was a larger-than-life man whose presence could light up any room he walked into. Wayne had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and like they belonged. He was genuine to his core, and those that knew him knew they could count on him.
Wayne was a one of a kind man who was always willing to lend a hand. If someone was in need, he was there. He gave freely of himself and had a way of touching the lives of the people around him without ever asking for anything in return.
Wayne was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his wife, Ashley and her two sons Cooper Randleas (Kelsey) and Ethan Randleas, whom Wayne loved every bit as his own. He is also survived by his mother, Jan Galloway and sister, Heidi Garrard. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Galloway and brother, Nick Galloway.
Wayne was beloved by his coworkers at Dynamic NC, where he was known not only for his work, but for the person he was. The friendships and connections he made throughout his life were a reflection of the kind of man he was – someone who left an impression wherever he went.
There are some people who simply make the world brighter by being in it. Wayne was one of those people. He loved deeply, gave generously, and lived in a way that made people feel better for having known him.
Wayne loved “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and in many ways, the song described him perfectly. He was a simple man with so much to offer everyone whose life he touched. His life may have ended unexpectedly, but the love, laughter, kindness, and memories he gave to others will remain.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.

He was the BEST person. He was just always so fun to be around. Quick with a joke and whit. EVERYONE who knew him liked and loved him. This wasnt fair to lose him and my heart breaks for his family. Who lost their person. Wayne- keep being onery and put in a good word with the Big guy up there.
We have known Wayne since his childhood. He was best friends with our daughter Jennifer for ever until her death. Wayne was very special to us and will be missed.
We have so many wonderful memories of spending time and sharing dinners with Wayne and Ashley—memories that we will always cherish. His presence brought so much laughter and joy, and his absence will be felt more than words can express.
The world simply won’t be the same without Wayne in it. He was truly one of a kind, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have known him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. ❤️
Growing up with Wayne meant having a built-in friend for life. Cousins
share a very special bond. We share the same roots, the same family
stories, and the memories of just being kids together. Wayne had a way of
making life a little brighter and a little warmer just by being himself.His laugh his smile .
Beyond being a wonderful cousin, Wayne was a deeply devoted family
man. He was a truly great son who took such loving care of his mother,
looking out for her right up until his final days before he was taken from us
in that terrible car accident. His selflessness, his kindness, and his
absolute dedication to his family defined exactly who he was.
But as much as he meant to me, his mother, and to our entire extended
family, I know that his greatest joy, his proudest achievement, and his
entire world was the family he built.
To Wayne’s wife and to his children—I want to speak to you.
Wayne loved you all fiercely. Whenever he talked about you, his whole
face would light up. You were his anchor, his purpose, and his greatest
pride. He loved being a husband and a father more than anything else in
this world. I know that right now, the silence he leaves behind feels deafening, and
the road ahead feels impossibly dark. But I want you to know that you are
not walking it alone. Wayne’s love did not disappear; it lives on completely
inside of you. You carry his smile, his strength, and his kind spirit.
As his cousin, and as your family, I promise you this: we are here for you.
We will be here to share the stories, to catch your tears, and to remind you
every single day of how much he loved you. We will wrap our arms around
you and make sure you are taken care of, just as Wayne always did.
In this moment of deep grief, we also lean into our faith and the beautiful
promise of salvation. We rest our hearts on the truth written in Romans
8:38-39:
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor
demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither
height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate
us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Wayne, thank you for being a wonderful cousin, a devoted son, a loving
husband, and an incredible father. We will carry your memory with us, and
we will watch over your family.
