Catherine "Katie" Clasen

Katie Clasen, 98, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026.

She was born on March 20, 1928, in Andover, Kansas. She married Ray Clasen in 1950 and they shared 70 years together before he passed away in 2020. Katie spent much of her life helping her husband run their construction business by doing all the office work such as writing contracts and taking care of the accounting. Later she received her real estate license and sold houses.

Rosary and Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m., Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Ridder; husband, Raphael Clasen; and nine siblings.

She is survived by son, Michael Clasen and wife, Diana, of Wichita; grandchild, Kayla Bias, of Wichita; and great-grandchild, Kenji Bias.
