Carol Dresher

Carol Mae Dresher, 64, of Wichita, KS, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on September 5, 2026, at Saint Francis Hospital.

Carol was born on December 23, 1961, in Celina, Ohio, to Joseph and Mary Dresher.

As a child, Carol’s mom would describe her as happy-go-lucky. She enjoyed playing with her 2 sisters and 5 brothers, riding her 3-wheeled bike, traveling, watching TV, going to church, and baking. She graduated in 1981 from Necedah High School. As the second child of eight, Carol helped her mom with the house and her siblings for many years. When she moved out, she found joy in her independence and in being adventurous: road trips, all sorts of tours, even waterskiing. She loved coloring, crafting, spending time with family and friends, and practicing her Catholic faith. Her last big adventure was moving from Wisconsin to Kansas to be closer to family.

She was preceded in death by her father – Joseph John Dresher.

She is survived by her mother Mary Margaret Dresher, sister: Marianne Dresher, brother: Ron, his wife Deanna, and their children and grandchildren, brother: Gary, his wife Carol, and their children and grandchildren, brother: Dave, his wife Jennifer, and their children and grandchildren, brother: Paul, his wife Helga, and their children, brother: Mark, his wife Amy, and their children, sister: Diane Dresher, and her son.

A Rosary and visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, at Mount Saint Mary chapel, 3700 East Lincoln, Wichita, Kansas.

Interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 17, at Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Necedah, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, a charity dear to Carol’s heart.
