In Loving Memory of Kathryn Lynn Rosell (nicknames Kathy and Kitsie):

Kathryn Lynn Rosell, 71, of Irving, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2026.

Kathryn was a strong and determined woman. She believed in working hard and doing things the right way. Her strong work ethic was one of the qualities for which she was best known. She faced life with independence, perseverance, and a quiet strength that remained with her throughout the years. The last 20 years of her accounting career was spent working for Rexel USA in Dallas, Texas.

In her early adulthood, Kathryn traveled internationally, exploring unfamiliar places and cultures. These experiences created cherished memories and reflected her adventurous, curious spirit.

One of the most meaningful expressions of Kathryn’s character was her generosity. She believed that giving is better than receiving and anonymously supported several organizations throughout her life. Of those causes, giving to the American Heart Association held a special and powerful meaning for her. She gave because she believed in helping others and making a difference however she could. Her generosity was an extension of the way she lived — quietly, sincerely, and with a genuine concern for others.

Family was deeply important to Kathryn. She was the oldest of her three beloved sisters. Kathryn was also an adored aunt who treasured her nieces and nephews and took immense joy in being part of their lives.  She is survived by: sister, Ruth (Dan) Knolla, Dana (Larry, preceded in death) Fugate and Beverly (Eddie) Ledoux; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Rosell, Ryan (Lindsey) Wasinger, Dana (John) Macrini, Brett (Kristen) Wasinger, Colin Wasinger, Zachary Knolla, Jeremy (Shannon) Knolla and Ryan Knolla. She was a cherished great aunt to four great nephews and five great nieces.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rosary will be at 10:00 am; Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am both on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N. Ridge Road Wichita, KS 67205

A memorial has been established with St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Services in care of Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
