Judy Bouffard (née Reirich) passed away peacefully on October 30, 2026, surrounded by family and love, following complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, in 1947, Judy began one of her life’s adventures as a young woman when she and her best friend, Coralee, left South Dakota for San Francisco with approximately $100 between them.

While living in San Francisco, Judy worked at Tiffany & Co. She later built a career in accounting, working throughout much of her adult life.

Her journey eventually brought her to Denver, Colorado, where she met David Bouffard. They married on April 3, 1971, and shared 33 years of marriage.

Judy was proud of her grandchildren and loved her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Nicole and her husband, Jason Cervantes, and Melissa and her husband, Clay Fradd; her grandchildren, Chase Johnson, Alex Johnson and his wife, Kimberly, Megan Johnson, Jackson Fradd, and Oliva Fradd; and her great-grandchildren, Finley and Theo.

She is also survived by her brother, Cliff, and his wife, Sandy; and her nephew Joel, and his wife, Heather.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Fred; her husband, David Bouffard, with whom she is now reunited.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Crux Wilderness Therapy, 3960 West Point Loma Blvd., Suite H #538, San Diego, CA 92110, a nonprofit that provides free mountain climbing experiences for veterans and active-duty military personnel struggling with depression and anxiety. With Judy’s grandson serving as one of its guides, the organization holds a special connection to the family.

Arranged through Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
