Steed, Betty J., 79, retired nursing home CNA, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Memorial service, 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 19, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by sisters, Arva Green and Thelma Campbell. Survivors: sons, Mike Steed of Rapid City, SD, Gary (Robin) Steed of Wichita; brother, Bob Engleman of Hays; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

I was so sorry to read about your mother’s passing away. She was a sweet lady. I remember when we lived across the street from your family in Hill City in the 50’s. After I was married & left when I came home and went to the dimestore I always had a nice visit with Betty. Please accept my condolences.
