Carter McEvoy, 59, died Sunday, December 8, 2019. Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Survived by his parents, George and Glenda McEvoy of Wichita, KS; wife, Lori McEvoy of Wichita, KS; son, Chase McEvoy of Wichita, KS; step-daughter, Sydney Crowell; step-sons, Sam Crowell, Max Crowell; cousin, Serenah (Brandon) Runyan; uncle, Bud (Sang) Feurt. After a lengthy career with Boeing, Carter pursued his passion to be an independent business owner dealing in mid-century modern furniture and art. He was also an accomplished musician. A memorial has been established with Cat Hospital of Wichita, 6130 E. Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67208.

  5. My condolences to Carter’s family and friends. My band and I were lucky enough to play with Carter’s band several time. He was always so kind and encouraging to us. I am glad that I was able to share a show bill with him. Sorry again for your loss.

  7. Carter you will be missed. I can’t believe you’re gone! Lori I’m so sorry you lost this incredible fellow. I loved seeing him at our estate sales – always arriving early to be the first in line – cheerful, eager, discerning and cool as all get out. He had a style all his own. And I loved seeing you both at the Cat Hospital too when our appointments over lapped – sharing pics of all our cats and swapping our silly cat stories. The world is a better place because you were in it, Carter. I know for myself, I’m better for having known you.
