  1. I was hired as a Letter Carrier in Wichita in Jan of 1970. I was 20 years old, just back from Viet Nam and wife expecting first child. Not long after that date your father approached me about joining the Gov’t Employees Credit Union. I told him that I wasn’t even sure what a credit union was and he took the time to fully explained the organization. I told him that I was interested but I didn’t have a extra dime to apply for the membership and he said that if I would join he would pay the $5.00 membership fee and I agreed and I have been an active member of the credit union from that date. Cecil was a kind man and I enjoyed working with him until his retirement. I am forever gratefull of his $5.00. May he rest in peace! Larry Gunkel Retired Letter Carrier Wichita Ks

  2. Kandy & family, You are in my prayers. It must be difficult to have had both parents pass away in such a short amount of time. I often think of you and hope all is well with you and your family. Bill Romig sends his regards. Cynde & Randy Wolf

  3. Cecil Dombaugh. What a classic example of a caring person The many friends and relatives that have witnessed his overt acts of kindness to others in need will miss Cecil most sincerely. These numerous friends and relatives who received care, hope and comfort at Cecils expense with NO intentions of repayment of any kind on his part, are eternally indebted to Cecil for his never ending and intentional acts of kindness. In my opinion, Cecil was the last of the good Samaritans, which has been lastly and finally proven by his unwavering 24-7 care for his wife Alma, whom (as you know) preceded him in death only a few days earlier. May God bless this dear man and may his rewards in Heaven be to numerous to count. My deepest regrets,
