Donald E. Telford

Donald E. Telford, 77, retired KGE Director, passed away Monday April 21, 2014. He is survived by his wife and lifelong love of 57 years, Jo Anne of Newton; daughter, Lori Rogers (Raymond) of Emporia; son, Shawn Telford (Lavina) of Valley Center; grandchildren, Kyla White, Katie Rogers, Kenneth Telford, Nathan Telford, and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, G.K. and Ercie, and brother, George. He attended and played football for WSU and had a lifelong involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, as well as many other community organizations. He excelled at golfing, hunting, and fishing, enjoyed watching sports and was an avid K-State fan. He was also a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Rosary, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24, Downing and Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Services, 11 a.m., Friday, St. Jude Catholic Church both in Wichita.
