Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Mary, Marsha & Gene, I share in your loss of Emil. He was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed his stories about growing up and in the later years about how much he enjoyed his family. A picture sat proudly on his desk of all of you kids and your kids and he enjoyed showing it to anyone who came into the office. Life seems to go through many changes but when the really important things matter, it’s usually family and his family was very important to him. He always told me so. He was so very proud of each and everyone of you and the grandkids. He cherished the great-grandkids as well. I have worked for Emil for many years and I am proud and honored to have spent a part of his life with him and to have been a part of Bowers Drilling. He taught me alot about accounting and the oil business among many other things. He provided Tim and I with the means to help our family have a good quality of life and unlike most ‘bosses’ he was always interested in what my family was doing. He always said I worked ‘with’ him, not ‘for’ him. I felt like he treated me like one of his own and I am very grateful for that. I know there will be alot of decisions to be made in the near future and I will do what I can to help with anyting. In the meantime I will continue, with the help of Greg and Bill, to maintain the same quality of operation as though Emil was still sitting in his office at his big desk. I know he will be watching over all of us and will help guide us in the right direction. I miss him already and I will never forget this wonderful person.
Emil had the below poem under his desktop glass. He gave me many gifts including this poem. It is most appropriate at this special time: May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back The sunshine warm upon your face The rain fall soft upon your fields And until we meet again May Gold hold you in the hollow of His hand
