  1. Please know that we share your grief for the loss of our sweet Aunt Beth. She was such a wonderful aunt. I was always so excited to see her and Uncle Lyle when they came to visit my folks (Dick & Alice Soldan) in Manhattan, Kansas, during my growing-up years! She was a beautiful, smiling, lady in her perfect makeup, color-coordinated suits, and high heels. I looked forward to when they would arrive so I could get a big hug from my aunt that included the smell of a wonderful perfume. She was always happy and had an infectious laugh that I can still hear now!

When we went to visit Aunt Beth and Uncle Lyle when I was younger, I remembered we spent the night and I got to have a special bed on a fold up army cot in their living room. What an adventure! She was a wonderful hostess, making us delicious meals and even baking us some of her special cream puffs—my favorite. She continued being a wonderful hostess to us throughout the years whenever I, Charlie, Douglas (our son), and Amy (our daughter) would stop to see her when we came from Fairbanks, Alaska, to visit family in Kansas. She always insisted on providing us with some special dessert before we left the house.

We shall miss her, but I find solace in the fact that she had a wonderful life and was dearly loved by her family and friends. Plus, she is now at peace and with her loving family in heaven.

    Love,

    Rebecca (Soldan) Knight
